    • It is unknown what Ellen was doing in 1896 in Denver when she died. However, her sister Kate and Frank Cunningham were also in Denver in 1897. It seems her brother Edward McDevitt was also there.

Edward had three different wives, and children from each wife. According to the 1900 census, this family with seven children, lived at 1529 Carroll Avenue, in Chicago, where Edward was a foreman in a foundry. In 1910, they lived at 3214 Carroll Avenue, in Chicago, and the census showed Edward as not employed, but son Joseph was a supply clerk for a shell and wire company and son Edward was a machinist for a screw company.

  • Notes
    • Ellen died just a few days before her 29th birthday, leaving her three
surviving step children (Edward died along the way), and her own three
babies -- six children between the ages of 13 and one. Her husband,
Edward Gannon, quickly remarried a third time, and had yet two more
children. Edward Gannon, and his descendants, are listed in the
      Morman's IGI.
