    • Obituary:
      Funeral services were held on Snday afternoon at the home, 314 Sixth street. The Rev. E.C. Henke of the Presbyterian church officiated and hymns were sung by the Thomas quartette/
      Pallbearers were Ed Curry, Wilbur Curry, R.L. Glazier, W.D. Stanley, Homer Jefferies and Mark Case. Burial was made in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
      Mr. McFarland was born May 14, 1863 in Huron county, Ohio. He lived there until he was 4 years old and in 1868 came to North Freedom, living there one year when he moved to Sauk Prairie and lived until 1880 at which time the family moved to Baraboo where he spent the remainder of his life.
      His marriage to Addie Francis Brown took place on Nov. 25, 1887. Mr. McFarland died at St. Mary's-Ringling hospital at two o'clock on the morning of Sept 30, 1927.
      He leaves two brothers, John W. McFarland of Stoughton and James B McFarland of Howard City, Michigan, and a sister, Jean Pennock,who has been making her home with him for about two years. His wife preceded him in death, March 24, 1927.
      Mr. McFarland will long be remembered as a builder of homes, mills and barns in this section of the county, a man to rely on at all times.
