    • Pat was baptized on 20 January, 1875, at Meenskehy in Dromtarriff parish. Witnesses to the baptism were Patrick Cronin and Nora Cronin. He came to the U.S. with his brother Richard, and sisters, Anne and Mary.

      Patrick was a policeman in Buffalo. In 1902, two months after he married, he was attempting to arrest a gang of men robbing boxcars on a train. The robbers threw Patrick in front of a moving train. Patrick Cronin was the first Buffalo policeman to die in the line of duty.
