- George was a pretty baby with red hair and blue eyes, even winning a beauty contest. When he was less than a year old, he fell down the stairs and perhaps suffered some brain damage. After the fall, he appeared to become very emotional. When his father died and he and his siblings were sent to an orphanage in Des Plaines, he was always picked on. When George was in the service, he was hurt by shrapnel three or four times during World War II in the African campaign against the Italians.
Cecelia's family seemed to have some sort of bone disorder. She broke her leg and it never seemed to heal correctly. After much colon problems, and diaherria, Cecelia died in Jan 1992 of a staph infection that started in her arm and spread throughout her body. George also died of staph infection.
