Notes |
- Bill attended Annapolis Military Academy for three years, and then joined the service. While on board a ship stationed outside of Puerto Rico, dynamite which had been packed incorrectly, exploded while Bill was in the next room. Bill was not expected to live. He had a metal plate put into his head, and had one false eye and only partial vision out of the other. The doctors said in ten years he would have seizures, and he did. In fact, he experienced numerous grand mal seizures which could not be controlled with medicine. About this time, a settlement from his law suit against the Navy finally arrived. Out of the original
$100,000 requested, he ended up with $40,000. With this, he divorced Candy and married someone else. He has another daughter, Joann, born about Oct, 1972. He died around 71st and Western.
