  	Anton was brought to the U.S. when he was 8 years old by his parents. The Holman family moved back and forth between Washburn and Bayfield until 1914. Their son, Ernest Holman, did extensive informal research of the decendents of Christ Holmen and wife Andrea, in the winter of 1974. Much of the names of the entire HOLMEN clan comes from this source. In 1910 and 1920 census, this family lived near Washburn. In 1920, Anton was a shingle maker at a lumber mill, and by 1920 became a carpenter. In 1910, Gusta is listed as a dressmaker at home. At both their deaths, Anton and Gusta were living at 501 West 5th Street, Washburn.
