Notes |
- Per Linda (Meeker) George, 4/28/2002:
Harland was called Huck. He was married once to a women from Hawaii. They didn't have any children and the marriage didn't last very long. If I recall correctly, from what I was told, she kind of wanted to use Huck to launch an entertainment career. Huck played in an orchestra in the 1930's and 40's in Minneapolis. His groups was the back up for Liverace whenever Liverace appeared in the Minneapolis area. Liverace propositioned Huck and that was the end of his contact with Liverace as Huck was not gay. After the orchestra broke up, Huck sold textbooks, then worked for Montgomery Ward at their Bloomington, Minnesota location. He lived in a rented room in Minneapolis. The house was a mansion which had bveen subdivided. He had the same girl friend for years.
