  	Ole and Marion's eldest son, Christian, came to the U.S. with his two uncles, Johan and Osvald, on 1 June, 1883, travelling on the Angelo from Christiana to the U.S. Ole C. Holmen and his wife Marion came to the U.S. in 1884 with their 7 children, to settle on a farm now called Hennemen farm, 6 miles southeast of Bloomer, WI. Their 8th child was born in Bloomer. Bloomer is in the north and west halves of Wisconsin, south of Cameron. In 1900, Ole sold his farm and moved to Washburn, Bayfield County, WI. He died there 2 years later on his birthday of a heart attack. He is buried in Bloomer, WI. The 1900 census lists Ole C. living on Forth Street, Washburn, WI, with two kids only: Mathilda and Conrad (Marion had already died). Both Ole and his son Conrad are listed as common laborers.
