  • Notes  Married:
    • Nils Christian was the oldest of thirteen siblings, and the first of five to travel to the U.S. He came to the U.S. when he was 17, probably around 1888, and certainly well before Aug, 1914. When he came to the states, he changed his name to Christ Conrad, after the town he was from, Konnerud.

Christ Conrad first lived in Two Harbors, MN, and later in Duluth, MN. The 1900 census lists him as living in Washburn, WI. In 1920, this family lived at 5305 Oneida, Duluth and Christ worked as a carpenter.

Four of Christ's and Emma's sons had died before Dec, 1974 (all except Edwin and Alphin). Lawrence seems to have died between Jun, 1972 and Dec, 1974. Harold and Hjalmar (maybe called Albert) died of heart attacks before 1972. Norman died of spine problems before 1972. Alphin lived in St. Paul, MN in 1972.

Christ Conrad's grandson, Harold, Jr, better known as "Boo" Conrad, won first place in the annual Soap Box Derby held in Ohio, when he was 12, about 1965. Boo was living in Duluth at that time.
