John Monteith, George Walker, Esq., merchant, Londonderry, to Ellen, second daughter of the late Samuel Jack, Esq., of Lisnarra, Donnemana Apr 4 1851 [Died] On Tuesday, at his house in Shipquay Street, David Walker, Esq., solicitor, after a brief illness Nov 26 1852 [Died] On the 21st inst., at Magherafelt, John Walker, Esq Jan 7 1853 [Died] An inquest was held on Monday last, before Minchin Lloyd, Esq., Coroner, on the body of an infant child, named James Walker, whose parents reside in Foyle Street, in this City. It appears from the evidence of the child's father, that its mother, Rebecca Walker, was addicted to drink, and on several occasions, had seriously injured the deceased. On Friday last he observed the child's arm swollen, and on examination, by Dr. Corbett it was found to be broken, together with a variety of wounds and bruises on various parts of the body. Doctor Corbett attended the child but he eventually died on Sunday evening at four o'clock.
