Mar 18 1834 OUTRAGE. ~~ On Saturday the 1st inst. as John Hamilton was returning from the market town of Raphoe, he was waylaid by two men, convenient to Convoy, who beat him unmercifully and cast him into a ditch, leaving him almost bereft of life. Examinations have been sworn against the aggressors, one of whom has given in bail, the other has absconded. We feel confident, however, that Robert Montgomery, Esq. the resident and spirited landlord, will use every exertion, not only to bring the offenders to justice, but also to prevent the recurrence of such an atrocious deed. .
