Jul 29 1837	[Died] As PATRICK CANNING and OWEN DOHERTY were employed yesterday on the edge of the Quay, in the rear of Captain's yard, they fell into the river, and drowned. Canning was from Buncrana, and left a wife and two children to mourn his untimely fate

Apr 16 1858	[Died] On Wednesday, the 7th inst., after a lingering illness, at Tyroddy, near Ramelton, Mr. Patrick Canning, aged 71 years
May 4 1860	[Died] January 17, at Hobart Town, Australia, Mr. George Canning, aged 27 years, son of Mr. C. Canning, of Malin
May 3 1861	[Died] April 25, at the residence of her son, the Rev. J.A. Canning, Coleraine, Mrs. Canning, of Rockville, relict of the late Rev. James Canning, minister of the Presbyterian Church at Malin, county Donegal
Aug 29 1862	[Died] At Malin, August 24, Mary, wife of Mr. Charles Canning, aged 64 years
Sep 25 1863	[Died] On the 16th September, after a lingering illness, at the residence of his father, Ramelton, John, second son of Mr. Charles Canning, aged 22 years
Nov 27 1863	[Died] November 21, at Letterkenny, Mr. William Canning
Dec 11 1868	[Died] December 10, at Toolett, Burt, Sarah Jane, beloved wife of Mr. Thomas Canning, aged 36 years
