FERMANAGH COUNTY MEETING
A Meeting of the Protestants of Fermanagh, convened by the HIGH SHERRIFF, for the purpose of establishing a Brunswick Constitutional Club, was held on Tuesday, in the Court-House of Enniskillen. At 12 o’clock an Orange flag was hosted on the Market-House, and soon after two Purple flags with 1690 emblazoned upon them, were seen floating from the Court-House. At one o’clock the doors of the Court-House were thrown open, and in a few minutes the building was crowded to the very roof.
At two o’clock the High Sherriff, Sir Henry Brooke, Bart., accompanied by the Marquess of Ely, Earl of Enniskillen, the Hon. Colonel Creighton, and General Archdall, M.P., entered the Court, and took their seats upon the bench. – The moment they made their appearance, they were greeted with the loudest plaudits, which continued for several minutes.
