PLOUGHING MATCH. – A ploughing match was held at Ecclesville Demesne on Saturday the 5th inst., when 38 well equipped ploughs, owned by the tenants on the estate, appeared in the field. Being so numerous they were arranged in two divisions, and MR. ECCLES for the encouragement of the ploughmen gave 4 prizes in each division. The weather was all that could be desired, and a large quantity of ground was ploughed in a most efficient manner.
