EASTER VESTRIES

Tyrone Constitution, April 22 1870

DRUMRAGH PARISH. – At the Easter Vestry, held in the Parish Church, Omagh, on Monday, Rev. Geo. Sidney Smith, D. D., Rector, in the chair, Hans Fleming, M. D., Omagh, and Mr. David Elkin, of Tarlum, were appointed to act as churchwardens for the ensuing year. The former nominated by Dr. Smith, and the latter proposed by Mr. Jas. Moor and seconded by Mr. John L. Harvey.

CAPPAGH PARISH. – At the Easter Vestry of this parish, the Dean of Clonfert presiding, Wm. F. Black, Esq., Lislap, and Mr. Wolsey Joyce, Mountjoy, were elected churchwardens for the ensuing year.

UPPER LANGFIELD. – On Monday last the annual Easter Vestry was held in the parish church, when the following persons were appointed as Church officers for the ensuing year. Messrs. Hugh McKay, and James Johnston, Churchwardens; Messrs John Woods and William Anthony, Sidesmen

Tyrone Constitution, April 29, 1870

LOWER BADONEY. – At the Easter Vestry held in Gortin Church, Major A. W. Cole Hamilton, J. P., and Robert McKelvey, were elected churchwardens, and Arthur Cole Hamilton, Esq., and Mr. Samuel McFarland as sidesmen. Messrs. James McNickle, Rooskey, and Adam George Armstrong, Gorticastle, were appointed churchwardens for the district church of Greenan.

DRUMGLASS.J. A. Dickenson, Esq., County Surveyor, and Henry R. Kelly, Esq., Solicitor, have been elected churchwardens for this parish.

BAR PARISH. – At Easter Vestry, Richard Tottenham, Esq., J. P., Glengeen Lodge, Trillick, and Mr. Isaac, were appointed churchwardens of this parish.

DONACAVEY PARISH. – At the Easter Vestry, Saml. Vesey, D. L., J. P., and Mr. Finlay Buchanan, were elected churchwardens for the parish.

ARDSTRAW PARISH. – At the Easter Vestry, Mr. Humphrey White and Mr. Samuel Gordon, both of Newtownstewart were appointed churchwardens for this year.

EDENDERRY CHURCH. – On Easter Monday Capt. Thomas Auchinleck, J.P., and Mr. D. B. Kerr, were appointed churchwardens for the ensuing year.
