Sir,

We, the minister and Elders of the Presbyterian Congregation of Drumquin, in connexion with the General Synod of Ulster, feel it our bounded duty to express our unfeigned approbation of your moral and religious conduct, literary merit, and great efficiency as a Teacher, during the period of your stay amongst us. And while we feel grateful to Providence in providing you with a more respectable situation, we must regret the loss this district sustains by your removal.
